 Have something done

Have something done is a sentence in the passive voice. have something done also can mean everything where other people are doing or provide a service to us. To know more clearly the intention of have something done see the following two examples :
    • I cut my hair
    • I have my hair cut
From both these examples there is a difference in the sense of the sentence.
In the example the first sentence I cut my hair, which means that I cut my hair, so the hair cutting was done by my own. In contrast to the example in the second sentence I have my hair cut, which means that someone has cut off my hair, which means I cut hair using the services of others or the hairdresser.

 The formula for making sentences Have Something Done that is :  
 Have + Object + Past participle

There are also a variety of patterns to create a formula Have something done :   

PATTERNS for HAVE SOMETHING DONE :
S + HAVE/HAS + OBJECT + VERB 3
S + HAD + OBJECT +VERB3 +PAST TIME
S + TOBE (IS/AM/ARE) + HAVING +OBJECT + VERB3 + NOW/RIGHT NOW/ AT THE MOMENT

For Example :

1. Tom is having Bill written the report at the moment.
2. They are having their maid cleaned their room right now.
3. Marie is having her house painted by the workmen at the moment.
4. We had our treasury Bought our new books yesterday.
5. I have my jacket cleaned at a laundry. 
6. My English teacher had me give oral speaking. 
7. I got my friend to help this homework. 
8. She has her mom cooked dinner for her.
9. We have had our house repainted.
10. Bob has his packages delivered by the postman.
