TOEFL

(Test of English as a Foreign Language)

TOEFL English language test which is intended to measure a person's ability to learn to speak English and work abroad indicate academic readiness of one million is designed to be a standard that is objective and impartial so that students can compare their ability to be fair.

TOEFL is divided into three methods :

•  pBt (Paper Base)

• cBt (Computer Base)

•  iBt (Internet Base)

      TOEFL has two general objectives are: Academic and General.

1. TOEFL academic goal is for educational purposes, research, or the related to academic activities abroad, or in Indonesia. In order to graduate, usually a minimum value is 550, while for S1 is 500.

2. General purpose (general) is generally used in the field of employment, promotion or job assignment. Many companies that install standard English TOEFL employees to see the value. Generally, a minimum TOEFL score is 500 for promotion standards.

TEFL

(Teaching English as a Foreign Language)

TEFL stands for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. So, the title holder TEFL qualified to teach English to students for whom English is a language (or third, or fourth ...) second. Many agencies and organizations offering TEFL degree, although some programs are more accepted by the employer of the other.

Destination

TEFL degree is not necessary to teach English as a second language, but many companies prefer it. Generally, students earned a TEFL through a TEFL course, which can last one day or up to one year depending on the program selected. After the conclusion of the course, students will be qualified to teach English to adults alone, without the need to 'team-teaching' or student-teaching.

TOEIC

(TEST OF ENGLISH FOR INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATION)

TOEIC developed in 1979, is intended to measure one's proficiency in the English language at the intermediate level (middle) and advance (continued). There are more than 4.5 million test takers this every year. TOEIC is a standardized English language skills in the workplace worldwide. The TOEIC test is a valuable certification for professionals.

TOEIC is the English proficiency test for people whose native language is not English. TOEIC test scores indicate how well people can communicate in English with others in a global work environment. The test does not require specialized knowledge or vocabulary, this test only measures the type of English used in everyday activities.

The purpose of the TOEIC is more varied than other tests. TOEIC is generally used for 3 uses, namely:

• Using the company's corporate-TOEIC test to progress in the company's correspondence and documentation are also in English language training programs, recruit and promote employees, and put standard measurements in place at the work site.

• English courses used to place students at the appropriate learning level, and evaluate its ability.  

• Government agencies use it to document progress in English language training programs, recruit and promote and recruit employees.
